Rules of Attraction By Simone Elkeles

Simone Elkeles is the best romance author I have read. It is the way that she captures life in her own way with how she describes the emotion in the books she writes. Plus, nobody can resist a good love story.

Carlos Fuentes is just like his older brother Alex, his tale of gang life and how he fell for the "barbie" of the school. Barbie also fell harder. It is a teen romance with a modern twist. Carlos seems to be following down Alex's footsteps and getting into gangs and such. Well. Alex does not want that for him. So, he brings him to Colorado and puts him in school. Carlos is a rebel, so he was not happy that he was being forced to do this, but things change when he meets Krista. The Tomboy, bombshell, who constantly surprises him (which is not something that happens often to him). But, of course there is a complicated conflict that makes the love story more interesting. Could it be Carlos' guard against trust and love or the local gang that is threatening his family or even his life? or all of the above?

I want a Fuentes boy of my own. I think every girl does. The way they love you, protect you, cherish you, the passion and lust that they give and feel for you. It is romantic and painful because of how hard it is to find this love but also because of how much you want it.

I recommend this book. Hope you enjoy it.

Thanks for reading

A Discovery of Witches

A Discovery of Witches by Deborah Harkness

What a breath of fresh air. This book caught me in the first chapter and had screaming for more at the end. Lets just say the way this book ended there will be a sequel. The romance that came along with this tail was unexpected, but i enjoyed it very much.

Starting off with Diana Bishop, a witch, late 20s, blonde, athletic. Diana lost her parents when she was 7 years old and she decided that magic was not going to be a part of her. She avoided anything that magic had to offer, thus deciding to become a researcher. She studies and keeps her mind at bay with working out and studying old alchemists. Well, one day she came across a rather odd book. When this book was in her presence it caused her to feel the magic inside her come alive. She placed her hand on the book and a sensation runs through her body. Like the book was being lifted of a spell. Because of her lack and hatred for her natural gift of witchcraft she quickly gets rid of this book. Well, the following day a dreamy vampire shows up, Matthew. Well, lets just say somebody wants this book. She becomes scared because vampires are not to be trusted. But, after awhile of these two "running" into each other, they become "friends". I will not say more, but i am going to say that if this book does not have a sequel i am going to be pissed.

5 Stars!!!! MUST READ!!!!!!!

A DIscovery of Witches

I am absolutely enjoying this book. The take on the supernatural creatures is a breath of fresh air. It is so different then most books that i have read that have supernatural creatures in them. Vampires are more ancient and memorable, important. They are described to be a compelling, beautiful, scary but intriguing, overprotective, beings. They refer to themselves as creatures. It is so different but i love it. Can not wait to finish!!!

Currently Reading

A Discovery of Witches by Deborah Harkness

The Hunger Games By Suzanne Collins

I absolutely loved this book. I have been avoiding finishing it because i have the 2nd and 3rd books on there way. But, i gave in. Katniss is the main character in the Hunger Games. She has to compete against 23 others for her life. During the Games a turn of events takes place and she starts to fall for Peeta who comes from the same district. Well at the end some crazy stuff happens and the whole time i was in complete shock from how the book ended. But, Katniss is a badass. I can't wait to read the next two books!

Paranormalcy By: Kiersten White

Feb. 15, 2011- Feb. 17, 2011

What a page turner! I was drawn to this book by the cover! Everyone knows the 3,30,3 rule of course. 3 seconds to catch a readers eye, 30 seconds to intrigue them and three minutes to capture them. Well, this book captured me. So different. Funny, thrilling, and romantic. The main character is this bad ass blonde who has a special "power" so that she can see through all paranormal creatures glamor. She is the only one that can do this so she works for paranormal peps that capture all the "bad guys". Her best friend is a mermaid, her transportation is by fairy, she fights with vampires and werewolves. If you like supernatural then you will like this book!

MUST HAVE!

The Book of Spells by Kate Brian

Jan. 19, 2011- Jan. 26, 2011

What a page turner!!!! I have not read any of the Private series and this book has inspired me to add them to my library! Witch craft, friendship, tragedy, distrust. Anything that causes drama with a twist. Great book so fun and exciting to read.

Awakened (A House of Night Novel) By P.C. & Kristin Cast

Jan. 10, 2011- Jan. 19, 2011

I already can't wait till the nest book comes out in November! If you have read the house of night novels then you understand how cool they are. It is such a different take on the "vampire". I love it! The book is not all death and blood and killing people and such. It seems deeper. Makes you want to be apart of that world. I loved this book.

Safe Haven By Nicholas Sparks

Jan. 6, 2011- Jan. 10, 2011

What a beautiful book. When i finished this book i was still crying from how happy i was on how the book ended. This is a story of hurt, distrust, abuse, lust, love, guidance, re-Joice and family! Can i just say that Katie/Erin (Main character) is a straight up badass! I want to be just like her someday. You tell yourself all the time that love is real and that it is out there for everybody, you just have to find it. The way Sparks writes is just so passionate and i love him! Everyone of his books has brought me to tears. What an amazing book.

Last Sacrafice by Richelle Mead

Dec. 27, 2010- Jan. 6, 2011

Wow. I love the Vampire Academy series more than Twilight and everybody loves Twilight! This ending to the series could not have been written any better! Thrilling, romantic, comical, tragedy, hope, love, friendship.....  What a roller coaster ride! Richelle is a true artist. She knows how to make the reader feel rather then simply read. I recommend this book as a MUST HAVE! Along with the rest of the series of course. I would love to here others opinions on it!

Death's Excellent Vacation

By Charlaine Harris, Patricia Briggs, and many more...
Dec. 9, 2010-Dec.27, 2010

Great book. I recommend it to anyone that is looking for some great short stories with a little supernatural twist of course!

Misguided Angel by Melissa De La Cruz

Excitement is what i felt throughout the story this book guides me through. Must read!!!! If you have not read any of the Blue Bloods series yet them i am worried about you! Great series! And i can't wait till the next book comes out where Schylur and Jack do something "Forbidden"!!!! Plus, everybody loves to read about Mimi acting like a child!

Crescendo by Becca Fitzpatrick

Nov. 13, 2010-Nov. 24, 2010

I thought this book was wonderful! I absolutly loved "Hush,Hush" and i was really looking forward to reading "Crescendo". Ok, so you must know how hard it is to read a lot of books and then a sequel comes out from a book you had read awhile ago. Well, i always worry that i am not going to be able to remember what happened in the previous book, but then this book, in the first chapter took me right back to memory lane. It was great! Thrilling, romantic, devastating.... The forbidden love! It is the best kind and i think everybody loves reading about it!

The Vampire Diaries: Stefan's Diaries:Vol.1 By L.J.Smith

Read Nov.9, 2010-Nov.13, 2010

I am a huge fan of the Vampire Diaries series by L.J. Smith and when i heard that there were books coming out about the time period before the actual book series takes place. I have never been so excited! I always wanted to know what it was like for Stefan and Damon Salvatore when they first became vampires and how Katherine twisted everything. I was not disappointed when i read this book. Everything ties in to the series. Very Romantic, thrilling. Can't wait for the others to come!
