Rules of Attraction By Simone Elkeles

Simone Elkeles is the best romance author I have read. It is the way that she captures life in her own way with how she describes the emotion in the books she writes. Plus, nobody can resist a good love story.

Carlos Fuentes is just like his older brother Alex, his tale of gang life and how he fell for the "barbie" of the school. Barbie also fell harder. It is a teen romance with a modern twist. Carlos seems to be following down Alex's footsteps and getting into gangs and such. Well. Alex does not want that for him. So, he brings him to Colorado and puts him in school. Carlos is a rebel, so he was not happy that he was being forced to do this, but things change when he meets Krista. The Tomboy, bombshell, who constantly surprises him (which is not something that happens often to him). But, of course there is a complicated conflict that makes the love story more interesting. Could it be Carlos' guard against trust and love or the local gang that is threatening his family or even his life? or all of the above?

I want a Fuentes boy of my own. I think every girl does. The way they love you, protect you, cherish you, the passion and lust that they give and feel for you. It is romantic and painful because of how hard it is to find this love but also because of how much you want it.

I recommend this book. Hope you enjoy it.

Thanks for reading

A Discovery of Witches

A Discovery of Witches by Deborah Harkness

What a breath of fresh air. This book caught me in the first chapter and had screaming for more at the end. Lets just say the way this book ended there will be a sequel. The romance that came along with this tail was unexpected, but i enjoyed it very much.

Starting off with Diana Bishop, a witch, late 20s, blonde, athletic. Diana lost her parents when she was 7 years old and she decided that magic was not going to be a part of her. She avoided anything that magic had to offer, thus deciding to become a researcher. She studies and keeps her mind at bay with working out and studying old alchemists. Well, one day she came across a rather odd book. When this book was in her presence it caused her to feel the magic inside her come alive. She placed her hand on the book and a sensation runs through her body. Like the book was being lifted of a spell. Because of her lack and hatred for her natural gift of witchcraft she quickly gets rid of this book. Well, the following day a dreamy vampire shows up, Matthew. Well, lets just say somebody wants this book. She becomes scared because vampires are not to be trusted. But, after awhile of these two "running" into each other, they become "friends". I will not say more, but i am going to say that if this book does not have a sequel i am going to be pissed.

5 Stars!!!! MUST READ!!!!!!!

A DIscovery of Witches

I am absolutely enjoying this book. The take on the supernatural creatures is a breath of fresh air. It is so different then most books that i have read that have supernatural creatures in them. Vampires are more ancient and memorable, important. They are described to be a compelling, beautiful, scary but intriguing, overprotective, beings. They refer to themselves as creatures. It is so different but i love it. Can not wait to finish!!!
